Baldwin High School Bayanihan Folk Dance

Bayanihan Folk Dance is a Filipino Folk Dance Club at H.P Baldwin High School. The Bayanihan Folk Dance group shares culture, traditions, and skills. With the first number, they will be dancing Cariñosa, which is a Maria Clara suite, known for its romantic courtship theme of fans or handkerchiefs to intimate the coy act of hide n seek.
The second number is Tinikling. Tinikling is a skilled dance where dancers move in and out of clapped bamboo poles, inspired by mimicking the movements of the tikling bird as it dodges bamboo traps. This dance is a lively and challenging performance that requires coordination and agility.
