Nakayama Minyo Kai

 Under the guidance of our Iemoto (Grand Master) based in Nagasaki, the Nakayama Minzokubuyo family includes branches and students throughout Japan and around the world.

Our Hawaii Shibu is honored to be part of this cultural lineage, dedicated to preserving and sharing the beauty, history, and spirit of traditional Japanese folk dance.

In October, we had the great privilege of performing in Nagasaki at the National Dance Conference alongside fellow students from across Japan. Performing on such a grand stage was a tremendous honor for our group. We were deeply grateful for the warm welcome and encouragement from the audience, which made the experience truly unforgettable.

Through our performances, we continue to celebrate and share the rich traditions of Minyo dance while strengthening the cultural connection between Japan and our community abroad
