Senshu Miyabi is a community-based taiko ensemble from Izumisano City, Osaka, Japan, celebrating 29 years of sharing the powerful spirit of Japanese drumming
The group was founded after its original members experienced taiko at their children’s nursery school event and were deeply moved by its resonant sound and dynamic energy. Inspired by that moment, they formed a club that has since grown into a vibrant, multigenerational ensemble. Today, three generations perform together — from longtime members to parents and children — creating a rich legacy of tradition and community connection.
Senshu Miyabi performs regularly throughout Izumisano at ceremonial gatherings, community celebrations, senior centers, and nursery schools. Through each performance, the group brings vitality, unity, and the enduring spirit of taiko to audiences of all ages.
